Richmond, VA – April 13, 2016 – Richmond race fans are invited to Kroger Fan Fest events taking place at eight local Kroger stores from April 21 – April 24. The free events will include interactive exhibits and family fun attractions, as well as a special appearance at one local Kroger store from A.J. Allmendinger, who currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, driving the No. 47 Kroger/Bush’s Chevrolet for JTG Daugherty Racing.
Allmendinger will appear at the Kroger store located at 3001 Polo Pkwy in Midlothian, VA 23113 on Thursday, April 21 from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. where he will be available to meet fans and sign autographs.
“I’m really looking forward to visiting Kroger before racing at Richmond International Raceway. If you’ve never been to a Kroger Fan Fest event, now is a great time to check it out because we’ve got a lot of momentum on and off the track,” Allmendinger said. “We always have a good time. You never know if I’m going to be shopping with you, bagging groceries in a contest or participating in a cake walk with young adults and sometimes there are giveaways as well.”
Other local Fan Fest events will include racing simulators, show cars and gaming stations will be available, along with mascots, photo stations and kid zones. Visitors can obtain coupons from Kroger and samples of products.
Fan Fest will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following stores:

- Saturday, April 23: 7000 Tim Price Way, North Chesterfield (1 – 5 p.m.)
- Sunday, April 24: 6335 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Mechanicsville (1 – 5 p.m.)
