Bobby Labonte made his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series start at Dover International Speedway on June 3, 1991.

The 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion has one win, three pole awards, 11 top-five, 14 top-10 finishes and has led 148 laps in 41 starts at Dover International Speedway. Labonte has also won a NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover (5/31/97).

Dover was a first for Labonte: "My first ever NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race was in Dover, Delaware and it was a car that was built out of our Busch Grand National race shop," Bobby Labonte said. "It was an Oldsmobile that my dad and I built and he was my crew chief. That was kind of cool because it was our car. We built it. We put it together, made the race, ran about 70 laps and our day ended when the engine blew up. It still was such an achievement for us to be able to compete at that level. It was the start of it all. I had been racing in the Busch Grand National Series and after winning the championship, the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series was the next step you take."

SCOTT® Products: "It's another big weekend for our brands," Labonte said. "This weekend at Dover we will have SCOTT® Products on our Toyota Camry. Last time there we had a decent qualifying effort and finished in the top-15 (14th). We're hoping to have another good weekend."

Good track for team: "Last year, I believe we were running in seventh place and there were only eight cars on the lead lap when all of the sudden we had a wheel come loose," crew chief Brian Burns said. "We came back and finished in the top 15. One of our strongest performances last year was at Dover. It's a strong track for us and a great track for Bobby."

12th Annual Drive for Autism Celebrity-Am Golf Outing: “I enjoy going every year and it’s one of those deals I put on my calendar when I know that date so I can make sure I’m there,” Labonte said. “Artie Kempner does a great job putting it on. He’s done so much, not just for autism, but for our sport. Me being there is just a small token of appreciation. I look forward to playing in it every year.”

Puzzle pieces: "It's pretty cool that 66 drivers in all three series are carrying an Autism Speaks puzzle piece decal throughout the race weekend and we are glad to participate too," Labonte said. "We have someone in our company where this really hits home and we jumped on the opportunity to have the puzzle piece on our car to generate more awareness."

Thankful for the support: "It's great to see all the race teams running the Autism Speaks puzzle to generate awareness," said Ted Leuders, account executive for JTG Daugherty Racing. "My son is 14. He lives in Wisconsin and will be going to high school next year. He was diagnosed with Autism in 2001. He enjoys animals (three cats and a dog) playing backgammon with his sister, video games, watching sports on TV, and following his favorite driver, Bobby Labonte. Alec has made outstanding progress thanks to publicly funded services. The work in building advocacy and awareness of children with Autism from Autism Speaks is critical in helping children like Alec."

Are you the ultimate “Grillmaster” at the race track? Do you want to win an all expense paid trip and be the VIP guest of JTG Daugherty Racing at the big race in Las Vegas in 2014?

If you answered yes, then get out to the track and let us know where you are tailgating! Each race weekend during the Sprint Cup season JTG Daugherty Racing will be scouting the infields and campgrounds, looking for the best tailgaters at the track. The best, most enthusiastic tailgaters each race weekend will win a custom prize pack and become eligible for our “TAILGATER OF THE YEAR” competition.

You can let us know where you are tailgating by tweeting us your location.

Randy Pless and Mike Browning stood out last week with their highly visible grilling area and snatched Tailgater of the Week honors. The two natives of North Carolina had a grilling area, a living room area under a large tent and an observation deck in Turn 1 of Charlotte Motor Speedway.

The Kingsford grill and charcoal at the back of their tailgate caught the eye of the JTG Daugherty Racing Tailgate Patrol on Saturday afternoon. Chatting with the group, they admitted their favorite foods to grill.

"This is our 27th year camping here," Browning said. "We cook a lot of chicken, ribs and fish. We use Kingsford Charcoal to grill out. Grilling out is one of the main reasons we like coming here and, of course, the racing."

Throughout the weekend, leading up to the green flag, our team members, owners and maybe even Bobby Labonte himself will be patrolling the infield and campsites looking for the best tailgaters. So, fire up your grills with Kingsford® Charcoal, heat up a can of Bush’s® Grillin’ Beans and clean up your messes with Clorox® and Scott® Brand Products!

Simply follow us on Twitter @NASCAR47 , send us a tweet with your tailgate location and include the hash tag #TweetYourTailgate.
