Track: Daytona International Speedway
Event: Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola
Date: Saturday, July 6
Finish: 23rd
Start: 34th

Bobby Labonte survived two late crashes in the Coke Zero 400 Powered by Coca-Cola on a green-white-checkered finish to bring home his battered No. 47 SCOTT® Products Toyota Camry in 23rd-place. Earlier Labonte was a victim of an incident and sustained damage to his machine after running around the top 15 waiting to make his move through the field. Once he pitted for repairs, the Corpus Christi, Texas-native fought hard to dodge the wrecks in the closing laps and bring home his JTG Daugherty Racing car in one piece.

There were 18 lead changes among 11 drivers. There were six caution flags for 27 laps and the race was red flagged at lap 150.

Jimmie Johnson swept the event with a 0.107 margin of victory over Tony Stewart at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in race number 18 of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

"The race was okay for a while," Bobby Labonte said. "We were just riding around the top 15 waiting to make our move. We missed that wreck when the No. 11 car (Denny Hamlin) did its deal, but we still got damage on the front and I didn't realize it. It did all that damage and we lost track position."

It was a hot weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida during the Coke Zero 400, so it is probably no surprise that the campground with the huge inflatable water slide was the first thing our JTG Daugherty Racing Tailgate Patrol noticed about John DeStefano’s tailgate area. It seemed to be one of the most popular spots in the infield for both adults and kids, which became even more evident when we elected John and his family as our Tailgaters Of The Week.

DeStefano has been devoted to the same camping spot right in the center of Turns 3 and 4 in the Daytona International Speedway infield for six years.

“I first came with a friend of mine (who is still in that camp spot right next to us every February and July) in 2007,” said DeStefano. “I was offered this spot that my family and I are in now by another camper (who is still in the spot on the other side of ours) at the end of that first weekend. We have been here with them ever since.”

DeStefano's favorite aspect of his twice a year trip to Daytona International Speedway is the relationships he has formed with fellow campers.

“Whatever you need or want - whether it is a friend to talk to, someone to walk the infield with, a colander for your spaghetti, or some Kingsford Charcoal for your grill - it's always here. The comradery and friendship in this infield is unprecedented.”

Do you have what it takes to be the “TAILGATER OF THE WEEK”?

Are you the ultimate “Grillmaster” at the race track?

Do you want to win an all expense paid trip and be the VIP guest of JTG Daugherty Racing at the big race in Las Vegas in 2014?

If you answered yes, then get out to the track and let us know where you are tailgating! Each race weekend during the Sprint Cup season JTG Daugherty Racing will be scouting the infields and campgrounds, looking for the best tailgaters at the track. The best, most enthusiastic tailgaters each race weekend will win a custom prize pack and become eligible for our “TAILGATER OF THE YEAR” competition.

You can let us know where you are tailgating by tweeting us your location. Throughout the weekend, leading up to the green flag, our team members, owners and maybe even Bobby Labonte himself will be patrolling the infield and campsites looking for the best tailgaters. So, fire up your grills with Kingsford® Charcoal, heat up a can of Bush’s® Grillin’ Beans and clean up your messes with Clorox® and Scott® Brand Products!

Simply follow us on Twitter @NASCAR47 , send us a tweet with your tailgate location and include the hash tag #TweetYourTailgate.
