Kansas Speedway Recap:

Bobby Labonte finished in 24th-place with the No. 47 Pine-Sol Toyota during the STP 400 at Kansas Speedway. The Corpus Christi, Texas-native ran around the top 15 periodically in the 267-lap event and was shown as high as second place before his turn to pit at lap 163. Labonte was 16th before his final pit stop of the day, but the last set of tires disrupted the handling making his No. 47 Pine-Sol Toyota Camry extremely loose.

The top-25 finish advanced Labonte two positions to 28th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver points standings. He is currently 113 points out of 10th place.

Kansas Speedway Notebook:

"I really don't know what happened there at the end," Labonte told crew chief Brian Burns after climbing out of his No. 47 Pine-Sol Toyota. "It was so loose. When I got back to the gas, I couldn't tell how loose it was going to be."

"We were really hoping for another caution so we could put another set of tires on," Burns responded. "We would have been in pretty good shape if we would have been able to do that. We're gaining on it."

"You had some good runs and you were competitive with eighth to 14th place," competition director Bobby Hutchens said.

Tailgater of the Week:

Frosty Noland from Kansas City, Missouri was awarded with Tailgater of the Week. He had a big group tailgating with the Kingsford brand propped up near his grills in a reserved area just outside Kansas Speedway.

His team of people included Dave and Nick Noland, Debbie and Stan Kroenke, and company. Debbie mentioned some of them are a part of the BBQ Team "Midnight Smokers."

"Most of us have been coming here since the track opened," Debbie Kroenke said.

"Thanks for picking us," Frosty Noland said.

Frosty's favorite food to grill is ribs, pork, chicken and brisket. They are big supporters of the Kingsford, Bush's Beans and Clorox brands.

Congratulations to Frosty and his team of tailgaters!
