BOBBY LABONTE NOTES:
Bobby Labonte was running fourth at Bristol Motor Speedway when Clint Bowyer's Toyota rested sideways directly in front of him leaving nowhere to go as he was shoved by another car from behind on lap 176. Labonte's No. 47 BUSH'S Beans Toyota received significant damage underneath from that incident sending him behind pit wall for repairs at lap 182. At lap 340, another incident forced Labonte behind the wall with a punctured radiator. Once the repairs were made Labonte returned to the track and was as fast or faster than the leader at times. His end result was a 38th-place finish.
"We had a really good car, but it did not turn out the way we had hoped," Bobby Labonte said. "We were running fourth and when Clint Bowyer had his incident I was hit from behind and did not have anywhere to go and ran into him. The guys did a great job with the repairs tonight and we were just as fast."
"We know we had a car to win this race," crew chief Brian Burns said. "We took a chance and stayed out and it paid off for us in the beginning. We were able to maintain and stay inside the top four until another car got into the back of us and helped shove us into the 15 (Clint Bowyer). Everybody on this team knows we had a car to win even with the repairs we were as fast as the leader. The team did a great job. It's a shame we had the bad luck we did."
"We ran up front and it just did not turn out our way," JTG Daugherty Racing co-owner Tad Geschickter said. "We had a top three car and got caught up in other people's stuff, but that's Bristol."

The world’s loudest party took place over the hills of Bristol, Tennessee this weekend as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series came to town for the annual night race at Bristol Motor Speedway (BMS). Along with it came thousands of enthusiastic tailgaters from all over the map.
Tom and Mary Stoll have been loading up their RV with a few friends and all the necessities for an elaborate tailgate setup and driving down from Little Valley, New York since 2000 and they were awarded Tailgater of the Week.
“We started coming when the Kulwicki towers opened” said Tom Stoll, “We probably shut down the whole East Coast making phone calls to lock down those tickets.”
They were drawn to Bristol Motor Speedway for the action-packed short track racing, but keep coming back because of the hospitality shown by the staff at BMS.
“One year we came down here while our house in New York was on the market” said Stoll. “We got a phone call from our realtor that someone wanted to make an offer right away. We had him fax the paper work to the offices in the speedway and the staff helped us get it all filled out, sent back, and finalized the sale from right here.”
The Stoll’s tailgate spot is one where many of the JTG Daugherty Racing sponsor’s products can be found, especially BUSH'S® Beans.
“We always have a few cans of BUSH'S Beans on race weekends," Stoll said. "We do not have a favorite necessarily. Any flavor that goes best with what we have on the grill is our favorite.”
Do you want to win an all expense paid trip and be the VIP guest of JTG Daugherty Racing at the big race in Las Vegas in 2014?
If you answered yes, then get out to the track and let us know where you are tailgating! Each race weekend during the Sprint Cup season JTG Daugherty Racing will be scouting the infields and campgrounds, looking for the best tailgaters at the track. You can let us know where you are tailgating by tweeting us your location. Throughout the weekend, leading up to the green flag, our team members, owners and maybe even Bobby Labonte himself will be patrolling the infield and campsites looking for the best tailgaters.
