| AMBROSE REMINDS FANS RACING SEASON IS GRILLING SEASON |
|
With warmer weather around the corner, Marcos Ambrose is reminding race fans that “Racing Season is Grilling Season” as he straps into his No. 47 Kingsford Toyota Camry and attempts to change his luck at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS). “Kingsford Charcoal is a wonderful partner of ours and they’ve been with us for a long time,” Ambrose said. “I’m an outdoorsman and I’m always cooking on the grill at the race track or at home. Steaks are my favorite with Bush’s Baked Beans of course. Bush’s will also have presence on the JTG Daugherty Racing car as well as Scotts Towels, Little Debbie and Clorox. We just want to fans to remember that racing season is grilling season and it’s time to pull out the grill and fire it up. I’m looking forward to doing that myself when I get to the track because I love to grill.” He likes grilling so much that he will be firing up his grill and hosting country music artist Craig Morgan at LVMS. Ambrose and Morgan have been paired together for GAC’s (Great American Country) half-hour hit series Drafting Partners, which pairs together country music and NASCAR. Morgan is opening up for Carrie Underwood’s "Play On" Tour (March 11 through May 30). “I don’t know much about country music other than Keith Urban because he is from Australia, but this is a great way for me to learn more about the music industry,” Ambrose said. “Craig will learn about my career and I will learn more about his and what life is like for him out on the road. We’re going to have a lot of fun shooting the show.” Ambrose was filmed in another show in the off season for Outdoor Channel called Gold Fever. On Monday, he went to their California offices to see the amazing footage host Tom Massie and his film crew captured while touring Tasmania and visiting Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre with a tour given by Brant Webb. Webb was a survivor of the 2006 Beaconsfield mining disaster. “We’re cutting up the show we filmed in Tasmania in December at Outdoor Channel’s head office,” Ambrose said. “I’ll have lunch with Tom and we’ll reminisce and laugh about the good times we had. He knows how much I love gold panning and he loves gold prospecting as much as I do. I actually reached out to him about doing a couple shows. It came together quickly. Fans should tune into Gold Fever and check it out for themselves on Outdoor Channel.” |
