Event: New Hampshire 301
Date/Time: Sunday, July 17th / 1:30 PM
TV/Radio: NBCSN / PRN / SIRIUSXM
AJ Allmendinger and the JTG Daugherty Racing team started 10th, but battled a tight-handling No. 47 BUSH’S Grillin’ Beans Chevrolet SS all race long and crossed the finish line 21st at New Hampshire Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
“We started really tight really bad and we were not able to fix it,” Allmendinger said. “We’ll learn from it and move on to Indy (Indianapolis Motor Speedway). We’ve got a couple really good tracks coming up for us.”
“We fought the car being way too tight for AJ all day,” crew chief Randall Burnett said. “We got a little behind on our track position. We took four tires that first pit stop instead of two, trying to make some bigger changes for him. Obviously, we never got our track position back. We just fought the car all day long – the setup. We’ve got to get the car better than that for all our partners. We will go on to Indy and learn from our mistakes. We’ll go back to the shop and work hard to get ready for this week.”
