No. 47 Kroger ClickList Chevrolet SS driver AJ Allmendinger finished 24th at Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday afternoon.
"It wasn't the day we had hoped for and we fought loose-handling conditions with our No. 47 Kroger ClickList Chevy," Allmendinger said. "And, then at times, it could be tight. It was out of the racetrack for some reason. We're going to continue to work smarter and harder to get a better handle on our 1.5-mile program. We've got some of the best people in place and I know how hard they are working. I have an idea of all the blood, sweat and tears they have put into this race team. I'm going to keep working on myself to provide the best feedback possible for the guys to make the best changes possible. We had such a great run at Daytona (International Speedway) and these last two weekends have been tough on me, but we are going to keep fighting and never give up.
"We have Phoenix (International Raceway) up next," Allmendinger said. "We were fortunate to be able to test there because it's been a challenging track for us in the past. We're still learning about the new aero-package and getting the right balance/the right package. We also know Phoenix is a place we've got to really go to work at."
