TEAM QUOTES:

Rain shortened the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Phoenix International Raceway, which caused AJ  Allmendinger and the No. 47 Fry's / Clorox Chevrolet SS team to finish in 24th-place under the lights Sunday night. There were 219 of 312 laps completed before NASCAR brought the cars down pit road under caution and called the race soon after rain fell heavily on the one-mile flat track.

“We started off really tight with our No. 47 Fry's / Clorox Chevrolet SS,” Allmendinger said. “On kind of each run, we got a little more of that out. We were trying to find a happy medium. There at the end we had decent pace, but it was still tight. That’s kind of what we fought all weekend and when we were at the test mid-October in general. So, we were making progress, which is good. We were gaining speed relative to the field compared to where we were early on. The No. 4 car (Kevin Harvick) was really fast and he was just lapping everybody.”

"We were trying to find a good balance for the No. 47 Fry's / Clorox Chevrolet SS," crew chief Brian Burns said. "AJ's biggest challenge was the car was tight most of the weekend. Approaching lap 200, he said it was turning a little better, but it would still get tight in the center. We just ran out time to work on it. We wish we could have had more time and been able to finish the entire race. Oddly enough, we fought rain there all day and that's how the race ended."
