NASCAR's longest endurance race was even longer Sunday night, as rain delayed the event on Lap 143. Chris Buescher and the No. 37 Kleenex team worked on the handling of his Chevrolet all night, using strategy to maintain the Lucky Dog position and eventually get back on the lead lap. Crew Chief Trent Owens called for Buescher to save fuel, electing not to pit with the leaders in the final 50 laps and maintain track position. Unfortunately, the No. 37 Kleenex Chevrolet ran out of fuel in the final two laps and finished the race on pit road in the 20th position.

CHRIS BUESCHER QUOTES:

"NASCAR's longest race definitely proved its worth tonight," Buescher said. "We made good strategy calls all day to keep us on the lead lap, and had nothing to lose at the end to try and make it on fuel.

"I'm really proud of the guys for all the hard work they did this weekend on our No. 37 Kleenex Chevrolet," continued Buescher. "We were missing some speed in practice on Friday and Saturday but they worked throughout the weekend to get the handling much better for the race. Our 1.5-mile program continues to improve and grow this season and we'll keep working at it this summer."
