Chris Buescher made his debut as a JTG Daugherty Racing driver on Sunday in the Daytona 500. Running in the Top-10 for the majority of the race, Buescher got caught in a wreck on Lap 127 that ended his day early.

CHRIS BUESCHER, NO. 37 COTTONELLE MEGA ROLL DRIVER:
"We just got going in that stage and thought we were running pretty good," Buescher said. "It got three wide there, but we were running decently there in the middle. We went down the back, three wide and when we got to turn three and it looked like all of a sudden, we were four wide and we just ran out of real estate. Nobody really...I don't know. It ended up looking like something we saw the last two nights of racing. That is something we didn't expect to happen here.

I usually come to superspeedways expecting to need a lot of luck, but today was one of the first times I really enjoyed it and was having fun. It's a bummer to have that wreck end our day, but sometimes that's just racing. I'm proud of how hard the team worked on the No. 37 Cottonelle Mega Roll car and I'm really looking forward to having more races like that this season."

TRENT OWENS, NO. 37 CREW CHIEF QUOTE:
"I'm really proud of the way Chris was running today in the Daytona 500 in the No. 37 Cottonelle Mega Roll Chevrolet," Owens said. "He wheeled it all race long and kept it at the front, giving us good feedback to make the adjustments we did. We were on a different pit strategy than some of the field, and it was really working to keep us in the Top 10. Unfortunately we just got caught in 'The Big One' and there wasn't anything Chris could do to avoid it. That's just Daytona, but we'll keep looking forward to the season and bringing home some top finishes in this new team at JTG Daugherty Racing."
